You know the standard NPC house, right? Well, I like to do 10x 10(10 blocks horizontally, 10 blocks vertically) for building a house frame, then about 100+ walls or more to fill the house. After getting the right terrain, on to actually BUILDING the house. STEP 2: Getting the right conditions.Īnother easy part. (Anyone know how to snapshot on mobile?). Would've put a pic, but mobile limitations. Point of it being a 'sky' island, but if you can pull it off early game, fabulous, for it's going to help a lot!įor now, let's just stick with flat forest. So, an underground city, while risky, is fine.Ī sky city seven blocks off the ground? Hope you got a ladder, mate, because walkways take away the entire. The underground? The underground is arguably one of the most dangerous places, but again, we all have to go down there eventually to get life-sustaining treasure, resources and NPCs. Near the desert? A lack of trees is annoying but the desert is kinda dangerous for newbies to go into. Spawning near 45 tiles within the corruption or crimson makes NPCs unable to inhabit the area, and so no buddies! Besides, those biomes are dangerous. 7/10 of the time the best place would be where you spawn, but if not, then just simply relocate to a NOT far-away area (or craft a bed) then start! You might want to shape the land to become 'flat' because I like my square builds a lot.Īpart from shaping, the biome is also very important. Ya ready? Then let's-a-go! STEP 1: Finding the right Area. Welcome everyone! I assume you came here for some base building tips, eh? Well, fear not! That's exactly what I'm going to get to after I'm done infinitely typing and stalling on some cheap mini-iPad. You're also talking to the guy who just joined the forums, so keep your stuff together. DISCLAIMER: You're taking advice from the guy who was one of the first people to buy mobile Terraria.
